The children were on a field trip with school today. When they came back, of course I immediately asked what was the most fun part. The answer: the food. You could eat whatever you wanted all day and that is super fun.
Therefor they weren't hungry and didn't want to eat dinner. And hubby was away for business. So what do you cook when you're alone? I decided to make this tasty snack: green asparagus with prosciutto and homemade aioli sauce as a dipper. Delicious and healthy too.
Because ...
- you want a flavorful aioli, you start with the sauce and afterwards make the asparagus. Aioli, can even be made a day in advance.
- you want to have fresh asparagus, you rub two asparagus on each other. When you hear a squeezing sound, the asparagus are fresh.
- you do not like the tough part of asparagus, therefor you break it by holding the bottom and then bend the top. It will break on the right part.
- you want to add a little zing to your aioli, therefor you stir in half a teaspoon of mustard.
