Instructions
Dutch spicy egg nog
Take a bowl and add all the liquids.
Add the spices and whisk well.
Rim and garnish
Dipp the top (and outside) of the glasses in the egg nog.
Put the glass up side down in a bowl with light brown sugar to get a sugar ring on top.
Pour the liquid in the glasses and sprinkle some grounded nutmeg on top.
NOTES
Dip the top of the glass in a bit of egg nog and then in fine sugar. The sugar rim will get the same golden shine as the drink and that looks beautiful.
Freshly grated nutmeg gots so much more flavor as the already grounded sort. So if you can get it, buy a whole nutmeg and grate it when needed in dishes.
If you don't have Kahlua, you can use Tia Maria, Sheridan's or any other coffee Licor.
If you want even more Winter flavors substitute cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves with 3 teaspoons gingerbread spices.
Do you have some leftover egg nog? Use it to prepare a pudding, ice cream, and cake. Or you can use it for flavoring a cup of coffee or in a milkshake.
