How nice that you are visiting my site!
I am Andréa, and I live in the south of the Netherlands.
For more than 10 years, I have been making recipes, taking photos of my dishes, and writing step-by-step instructions so you can cook them, too.

What started as a hobby grew into a blog with hundreds of thousands of visitors yearly. In 2024, it even became a cookbook: Het Kookboek van Brabant, with 35 recipes from my own region, all cooked, written, and photographed by me.
I still learn every day—from new cooking techniques to food photography—and I share everything I learn with you because cooking is much more fun when it works and tastes delicious.
What You Will Find on My Blog
My blog is all about easy cooking.
I help you make a tasty meal step-by-step, even with little time or experience. Here you will find:
- Recipes: Divided by cooking method, ingredients, season, and world cuisine. This way, you can find recipes quickly!
- Slow cooker recipes: Great for busy days.
- Dutch classics: From stews to beef dishes, including Indonesian and Surinamese influences.
- Quick and easy meals: Ready in 30 minutes and less.
I developed, tested, and photographed all recipes.
What you see in the photo is what you can put on your table at home. Honest and reliable recipes are very important to me.
Cooking with Confidence
Because I have been in the kitchen for years, I know what works and doesn't. I only share recipes that I enjoy cooking and eating myself. Every recipe is tested (often more than once), so you know it is right.
I use good, easy-to-find ingredients. No difficult cooking terms, just clear explanations.
My goal is for you to enjoy cooking and feel proud of what you make.
Fresh! I don't like supermarket sauces or canned soup — you can always taste that.
Fresh is much tastier (and often cheaper, too!). And because everyone is busy, I keep my recipes as simple as possible.
The joy is in the doing!
Do things you love and live a wonderful life. With beautiful moments and delicious food. On my blog, you can learn how you can easily prepare the most delicious recipes. My cooking keywords are fast, creative, easy, and fresh.
Easy and fast recipes for those busy weeknights, when you want to prepare a nice meal in less time and want to stay within your budget. Therefore I use ingredients that are readily available (or I give you some alternatives that will give you the great flavor you expect your meals to be.
Creative recipes because I love recipes with a twist. And I don't mind making an extensive recipe a bit easier too if I can, too.
Fresh, I don't use store-bought sauces or canned soup. Because it just tastes so much better making it fresh (and did I remind you that it costs a lot less when preparing it yourself). And because I know we all are very busy, I'll keep it as easy as possible.
