NOTES
1. Can I use another protein instead of beef? Yes, you can! Try ground chicken or turkey. You can also use scrambled eggs or tofu for a vegetarian option. All of them work great.2. How spicy is it? It’s mildly spicy—just enough for a little kick. You can make it less spicy by using less sambal or chili sauce. Want it hotter? Add a bit of sriracha or extra sambal for added flavor.3. What kind of noodles should I use? Egg noodles are perfect, but you can also use ramen noodles, rice noodles, or even spaghetti. Just use what you have at home.4. Variations
Swap the green beans for broccoli, bell peppers, or snap peas. They all work well in this dish.
Want to make it extra special? Add a fried egg on top.
No hoisin? You can mix soy sauce with a bit of honey or brown sugar.
No sambal Oelek? Use sriracha, chili paste or thinly sliced red pepper.
5. Storage Tips
Refrigerator: Store any leftovers in a closed container and keep them refrigerated for up to 2 days.
Reheat: To warm them up, heat in a frying pan with two tablespoons of water. That makes the noodles nice and loose again.
Freezer: This dish is not suitable for freezing—the noodles get mushy. So it's best to eat it fresh (and it’s so tasty, that won’t be a problem!).
