Ingredients you need per step are listed below the step in Italic
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 ℉.
Take each date and cut it lengthwise, but not all the way through. If they still have pits, remove them.
20 dried dates
Fill each date with a little bit of blue cheese.
3 oz. Danish Blue cheese
Cut the bacon slices in half and wrap one piece around each stuffed date. If necessary, use a toothpick to keep everything together.
10 slices smoked bacon
Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted. Take them out and let them cool for a minute or two.
Serve them warm and enjoy!
NOTES
1. Tips and Variations
Don’t you like blue cheese? No problem! You can use goat cheese, cream cheese, or even feta.
Want a bit more sweetness? Drizzle some honey over the warm dates just before serving.
2. What type of date should I use?
Go for Medjool dates. They are big, soft, and naturally sweet—perfect for this recipe.
3. Storage
If you have any leftovers (though I doubt it) store them in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll stay good for up to three days.
Warm them up in the oven at 350 °F (180 °C) for about 5–7 minutes before serving again.
