NOTES
1. Can I make this cocktail ahead of time? You can mix tequila, Blue Curaçao and Cointreau a few hours ahead and keep it in the fridge. Shake with ice and pour just before serving.2. Which tequila is best for this cocktail? Use a good quality Blanco Tequila. It’s smooth, fresh, and blends well with the orange liqueurs.3. Can I use Triple Sec or Grand Marnier instead of Cointreau? Yes, you can swap Cointreau for Triple Sec or Grand Marnier. The flavor is slightly different, but it still works well.4. How do I keep the sugar rim from falling off? Make sure the glass rim is well coated with lemon juice and let the sugar dry for about 10 minutes before pouring the drink.5. Variations
Frozen Halloween Blues: Blend the cocktail with crushed ice for a slushy version.
Less sweet: Use slightly less Blue Curaçao and top with soda water for a lighter drink.
6. StorageMake and drink immediately; this doesn’t store well.
