NOTES
1. Tips
Use high-quality chocolate for the best results.
Make sure the butter and melted butter are at room temperature before mixing.
2. Variations
Orange-chocolate combination: Everyone knows that orange and chocolate are a match made in heaven. So prepare orange chocolate butter by adding a teaspoon of finely grated zest and some orange liqueur or extract to the bowl.
Caramel: Add two tablespoons of dulce de leche for a perfect spread with a chocolate caramel flavor.
Dark chocolate: You could use milk chocolate or white chocolate instead of dark chocolate. Each of them has its own unique flavor. If you want this chocolate butter sweeter, add some icing sugar or maple sugar.
3. StoragePut the butter in a dry, airtight container or glass jar with an airtight lid. Store the chocolate butter in the refrigerator. It will stay good for up to two weeks. Remember that before you can spread it, you must soften it at room temperature.
