NOTES
1. Variations:
Fresh: Add orange juice for a hint of citrus.
Tropical: Add pineapple cubes to the smoothie.
Greek yogurt: You can also use low-fat yogurt. Or use soy yogurt for a lactose-free smoothie.
Honey: A little bit of honey is added to accentuate the sweet taste of the fruit further. You can replace the honey with stevia or maple syrup.
2. Fruit storage advice:
Dragon fruit: Store it in the refrigerator. This way, the fruit stays nice, fresh, and juicy.
Raspberries: Remove raspberries from the box and place them in a single layer on a plate in the refrigerator.
Pomegranate seeds: Store an uncut pomegranate in the refrigerator. After cutting, you can store the pomegranate seeds in a stone or glass jar in the fridge or even freeze them for later use. Tip: You can buy containers of pomegranate seeds in the supermarket. That saves a lot of mess in the kitchen.
Bananas: Store bananas in the fruit bowl and not in the refrigerator; otherwise, the skin may turn brown.
3. Store Dragon Fruit SmoothieYou could keep this smoothie, but you'd rather not. The creaminess decreases, and the vitamins deteriorate if you leave them longer. So preferably make it fresh. If you have made too much, pour the smoothie into an ice cube tray and store it in the freezer until ready to use. You don't even have to let it thaw completely. This smoothie is delicious as a slush.
