Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. They smell amazing!
NOTES
1. What kind of puff pastry should I use? Use all-butter puff pastry. It gives the best flavor and a crispy crust.2. How do I stop the filling from being too wet? Add enough breadcrumbs. That keeps the meat mixture nice and firm.3. Variations
Spicy rolls: Add 1 extra teaspoon of sambal or a pinch of chili flakes.
Cheesy rolls: Mix in some grated Gouda cheese with the meat.
Italian style: Add 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs and a bit of Parmesan cheese.
4. Storage Tips
Refrigerator: Keep baked rolls in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Warm them in the oven before serving.
Freezer: Freeze baked or unbaked rolls. Baked rolls stay good for 1 month. You can bake unbaked ones straight from the freezer at 390 °F (200 °C) for 25 minutes.
Make ahead: Make them the day before and keep them in the fridge. Bake them just before serving for the best result.
