Fancy a quick and tasty meal? This nasi goreng with chicken, bacon, and ham cubes is ready in 30 minutes! It is a delicious dish with spicy rice, tender chicken, and crispy bacon. It is ideal for a weekday evening or as part of a cozy rice table.

Making the spice paste: Grind the shallots, garlic, red pepper and trassie finely in a food processor or with a mortar.
3 shallots, 4 cloves garlic, 1 red chili pepper, ½ tablespoon trassie
Sprinkle the chicken fillet cubes with a little salt and pepper.
½ pound chicken breast, salt and pepper
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a wok and fry the chicken cubes until golden brown. Remove them from the wok and set aside.
3 tablespoons oil
In the same wok, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove this from the wok and set aside.
6 oz. bacon bits
Heat another two tablespoons of oil in the wok. Fry the spice paste for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Keep stirring well.
Add the cooled rice and keep stirring while frying. The rice will get a nice color and become slightly crispy.
3 cups uncooked rice
Add the Kecap manis and the nasi spice mix to the rice. Stir everything well.

Put the fried chicken, ham cubes, and bacon back in the wok. Mix everything together and turn the heat down.

Beat the eggs and fry an omelet. Cut the omelet into strips and add it to the nasi together with the leek. Stir everything together.

Taste the nasi to see if it needs more salt or Kecap. Serve the nasi with a fried egg on top and garnish with finely chopped spring onions.
