This recipe uses fragrant spices such as turmeric, coriander, and ginger. Each region has its variant, but these spices are almost always found. Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground coriander
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon galangal powder
- ½ teaspoon lemongrass powder, sereh
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
All my recipes are written both in Metric (gram / ml) and US Customary (cups / pounds). Here you can slect which type of amount you would like to see.
Instructions
- Put all the herbs and spices in a bowl. Mix them well with a spoon to create a nice, even spice mix.½ teaspoon ground cumin, ½ teaspoon ground turmeric, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, ½ teaspoon ground coriander, ¼ teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon galangal powder, ½ teaspoon lemongrass powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Scoop the nasi spices into an empty spice jar with a lid. Store the jar in a cool, dark place. This will keep the spices fresh for a long time.
Notes
- Room temperature: Store the spices in a sealed jar in a dark, dry place. This way, the spices will retain their flavor for up to 6 months.
- Tip: Write down the date you made the spice mix so you know when to make a new one.
