Ingredients

Tomato soup

• ▢ 1 shallot
• ▢ 1 clove garlic
• ▢ 500 grams tomatoes
• ▢ 1 liter vegetable broth
• ▢ 1 teaspoon sugar
• ▢ 1 sprig dried thyme
• ▢ 2 sprigs parsley
• ▢ salt and pepper, to taste

Grilled cheese sandwich

• ▢ 4 slices white bread
• ▢ 2 tablespoons butter
• ▢ 2 slices mature cheese

Instructions

Tomato soup

• Chop the onion and garlic.
• Wash the tomatoes, remove the crown and cut into quarters.
• Fry the onion on low heat in about 5 minutes.
• Then add the garlic and fry for about 30 seconds.
• Add the tomatoes and bake for about 1 minute.
• Pour the stock into the tomatoes and add the sugar. Also, sprinkle the thyme in the soup and bring to the boil on medium heat.
• Simmer the soup for about 30 minutes.
• Puree the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
• Finely chop some parsley and sprinkle it on the tomato soup when you serve it out.

Grilled cheese sandwich

• Spread butter on the toast.
• Place a slice of cheese on a sandwich and place a second sandwich on it (with the butter side down).
• Press a heart out of the bread with a heart-shaped cookie cutter and place it under the sandwich maker until the cheese has melted.
• Serve with the soup.
