What do you need for No-Bean Chili (Slow Cooker)
For the preparation of this Slow Cooker No Bean Chili you need the following ingredients (the correct amounts can be found at the bottom of the blog in the recipe card):
- Ground beef: Ground beef has a lot of flavor and fits well in this oven dish.
- But you can also opt for ground chicken, ground turkey or half ground beef and half ground pork.
- Diced tomatoes: Diced tomatoes: For the tasty tomato sauce. Use canned tomatoes because they have the optimal taste.
- You could use strained tomatoes (or passata), but that is not absolutely necessary because the tomatoes heat long enough and fall apart.
- Beef stock: To give the sauce a lot of flavors.
- The best is homemade beef broth. If you don't have that, you use stock from a cube.
- Onion, red chili pepper and Garlic: The spices to give a great flavor.
- Tomato paste: To deepen the flavor.
- Make sure to use it the right way. To give it its delicious rich, and slightly sweet taste, you should fry it for 2 minutes before adding the other ingredients.
- Salt, cumin, and coriander: Spices to flavor the chili.
Expert Tip
Adjust the thickness of the sauce by adding more broth if needed.
