What do you need for Crock Pot Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken?
You require the following ingredients to prepare this Slow Cooker Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken. You can find the correct amounts in the recipe card at the bottom of the blog:
- Chicken breast - For this recipe, I used chicken breast. But chicken breast fillets or thighs are, of course, also possible.
- Garlic and onion - Flavoring the chicken and sauce.
- Brown sugar - To sweeten the sauce. Brown sugar is also used because it gives a caramelized flavor to the sauce.
- Chicken stock - To give the sauce the right thickness and great taste. The most delicious is homemade chicken stock, but use a cube if you don't have it.
- Thyme and parsley - These fresh herbs flavor the sauce
- Cornstarch - Thickens the sauce and gives it a glaze feeling. Before adding, dissolve the cornflour in water. That way, you won't get lumps.
