Italian Garlic Parmesan Cheese Sauce is a delicious cheese sauce you can easily make. It is a sauce with garlic and Parmesan cheese as the star ingredients.
The soft and creamy texture with a subtle hint of garlic is delicious. Whether you eat this sauce with pasta or pizza, used as a topping or as a dipping sauce, this sauce is irresistible.
Discover the Silky Smooth Taste of Garlic Parmesan Cheese Sauce
Of course, you have an authentic Dutch cheese sauce, which is delicious over cauliflower, leek, or chicory, which you probably remember from the past (at least I do, because it was regularly on the table here).
But this Italian twist is even tastier if possible. The cream makes the sauce silky smooth, the Parmesan cheese nice and salty, and the garlic gives it a delicious kick.
I often make this sauce with pasta, but I also use it as a dipping sauce (nice with a baguette), topping with pizza Alfredo or serving with chicken or broccoli. It's easy to make and so versatile that it's regularly in my saucepan. Do you also like cheese sauce?

- Butter and Flour: For making a Roux. This ensures that the sauce thickens nicely.
- Garlic: The seasoning of this sauce. Raw garlic is spicy, slightly sweet, and aromatic.

Tips, Substitutions, and Variations
- When making the roux, fry the flour for at least two minutes before diluting it. Otherwise, you will end up with a sauce that tastes like flour (which is not good).
- Spicy: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if you want a spicier version.
- Herbs: You can also use fresh herbs instead of dried Italian herbs. Then add them in the last step, together with the parsley, and mix well.
- Parmesan cheese: You can also use Pecorino or Grana Padano instead of Parmesan. These cheeses all have their own taste, so you can vary.
- Vegetarian: Replace the chicken broth with a delicious vegetable broth.
