Easy Gin Strawberry Cocktail
Summer cocktails are special, and this Strawberry Gin Cocktail is everything I love about the season. After making a Limoncello Gin cocktail earlier this year, I wanted to create something fresh with seasonal fruit. Strawberries were the perfect choice! Their sweetness balances the sharp gin, and lemon and mint keep it light and fresh.
Summer Vibes in Every Sip
The first time I made this cocktail, the kitchen smelled like sweet strawberries mixed with zesty lemon. As I poured the bright red syrup into the glass and topped it with sparkling water, I knew it was a winner. One sip, and I was hooked—so refreshing and full of flavor. It’s now my go-to summer drink, and everyone loves it!
What do you Need?

Why choose Gin?
It's the key to this cocktail’s flavor! Gin is made with juniper berries and spices, giving it a unique taste.
Which Sparkling Water to Use?
Adds bubbles and makes the drink feel light. Any plain sparkling water works.
What about Strawberries, Lemon and Mint?
These bring sweetness, freshness, and a touch of tang. Use organic if you can.
How to Prepare?
Make the Strawberry Puree

- Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. Cut the large ones into quarters. Put the strawberries in a pan with some water.
- Cook on low heat for 10 minutes until the strawberries are soft. Mash them with a fork, then cook for 2 more minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve into a bowl. Press the juice out with a spoon and throw away the seeds.
- Mix the strawberry juice with sugar until it dissolves. Let it cool to room temperature.
Prepare the Glasses

- Wash the lemon and cut it into half-slices. Add a few to each glass.
- Wash the strawberries and cut them into halves or quarters. Add them to the glasses.
Add the Strawberry Syrup

- Add a few mint leaves to each glass.
- Add 3 tablespoons of strawberry puree to each glass.
Mix the Drink

- Pour in the gin.
- And top up with sparkling water. Give it a nice swirl and add some ice. Serve right away.
Variations
- Tonic Water: Swap sparkling water for tonic to add a slightly bitter note.
- Tropical Twist: Make a syrup with pineapple and passion fruit. Garnish with diced pineapple, passion fruit, and lime.
- Other Fruits: Use blackberries, raspberries, or currants instead of strawberries.
- Different Spirits: Replace gin with vodka, Jenever, or dry whiskey.
