Because it's already December 1st Christmas is only 25 day away. And off course you're already planning holiday meals. I am for sure. When searching through the recipes on my site, I stumbled upon a few great ones that I almost forgot, so I thought I should share them with you. And maybe it gives you enough inspiration for your own Christmas dinner.
Salmon always is a great choice. By baking the salmon short in a butter oil mixture it will get a great taste. Serve it with this homemade herb butter flavored with red wine and shallots. A recipe which is easy to prepare and you can make almost everything in front (so less Christmas stress)
One of my favorite dishes to prepare on a holiday dinner. Not only does it look terrific (for sure you can serve this on every party), but also the veal meat is so tender and the flavors of the vegetables combine well.
I just love to cook (and eat) Christmas dinners, but it can be filling. With this potato gratin (which looks terrific because of the slices potato rolled up in the ramekins) you've got a lighter version of this delicious recipe.
A whole turkey can be overwhelming, but turkey is a briljant choice for Christmas dinner. By taking turkey breast instead and fill them with homemade cranberry compote (not to difficult to prepare), smear them with pesto and roll them in phyllo dough, you get a delicious Christmas recipe. And what's also great, make them in the morning, so you only have to bake them in the afternoon in the oven. Relax it's Christmas!
Stuffed meat is always a great choice at Christmas and that's because it looks terrific. And it's an easy way to spice up your eat. The surprising element in this recipe is the apple, thyme and pistachio filling. A great combo.
Why I make this recipe every year? Because it's so delicious and you can prepare it in advance. Make it in the morning and just bake it in the oven in the evening (with the stuffed turkey breast and oven potatoes). Christmas dinner never been that easy and succes is guaranteed.
Do I need to say more? When you serve these potatoes, everybody will fall of their chairs full of surprise. And because it's so delicious (and really easy to make, but we don't tell that to anyone else OK?)
A complete main dish, you don't have to think about anything anymore. Perfect flavor combination and a super Christmas main dish.
Do you want something special with Christmas? Serve duck breast. Easy to prepare, just bake it slightly. By cutting the skin it will become crunchy. The honey balsamic sauce is a great addition.
Is this a dessert or a side dish? Choose by yourself, but I love to eat poached pears in red wine with a tender piece of meat.
