Italian style grilled chicken breast. A delicious recipe with homemade Italian seasoning. The chicken is wrapped with serrano ham.
What I find so great at grilling you can vary a lot. Of course you can buy a already prepared barbecue package with the butcher or supermarket.
Or you grill brought a nice piece of meat on the barbecue and season it with a ready-made seasoning or salt and pepper.
But you can get totally wild on the barbecue. Add some herbs to the coals so you get a great smoke flavor. Or you make your own spice mix.
And that's exactly what I did. I made a delicious blend of herbs often used in Italian cuisine and hence flavored the chicken. The spices are just mixed in a bowl and you don't use mortar or blender.
(Don't by not using them the flavor becomes even more intense). A nice slice of Serrano ham wrapped around the chicken gives even more taste and a delicious crunchy bite.
The herb mixture which you can prepare yourself can be kept airtight in a jar. The flavor will stay great for about 1 month. Thus you can use it to prepare many delicious barbecue meals.
