Mango Prosciutto Appetizers
Today a nice quick snack. It's made within 10 minutes. But this is a party appetizer you can make for almost any occasion. And you can serve it as a small appetizer, on an appetizer plate, or combine a few mango pieces to make a delicious entrée. And it's affordable party food.
Not only is the sweet mango a delicious combination with Prosciutto, but it also looks great. The bright orange mango, rosé prosciutto, and bright green parsley on top.
What do you need for Prosciutto and mango appetizers?
To prepare this Mango Prosciutto appetizer (only three ingredients!), you need the following ingredients. You can find the correct amounts in the recipe card at the bottom of the blog:
- Prosciutto - You might think, what does she mean, but Prosciutto means ham in Italian. And there are lots of varieties. Prosciutto di Parma (or Parma ham) are thin slices of Prosciutto salted ham made in the Italian Parma region. It's a great choice to combine with mango and to use in this recipe. You could also use Coppa di Parma, or Pancetta.
- Mango - soft and juicy and wonderfully sweet. Remove the skin and pit and cut into small cubes. Here you will find a video where I show you how you can do this quickly and easily in two ways.
- Parsley - Gives a fresh touch to this snack.

- Put a bit of parsley on top.
Also delicious
You can prepare these finger foods this way (and you'll love them). But I know a few combinations that are great, too (if you want to vary a bit).
- Instead of parsley, use fresh basil leaves. This will make it even more Italian.
- Top with fresh mozzarella. It gives a creamy bite.
- Drizzle olive oil, extra virgin or balsamic vinegar (or a balsamic reduction) on top. For an intense flavor.
- Smear a thin layer of cream cheese or creamy goat cheese on the prosciutto slices, before wrapping.
- Instead of mango, you could also use fig preserves.
