Easy Baked Trout with Garlic and Herbs
I saw rainbow trout and immediately thought, “I have to make this!” I often put it on the BBQ in the summer, but the weather wasn't right for that, so off it went into the oven!
Because the fish still has its skin, it stays nice and juicy, and it is easy to prepare. Lemon and dill go perfectly with the soft taste of salmon trout. Add a little garlic, and you have a delicious, simple dish. It's ideal for a weekday meal but also perfect for a festive dinner. Serve it with a fresh salad, roasted vegetables, or potatoes from the oven, and you have a complete and healthy meal.

Ingredients
- olive oil, for greasing
- 1 trout, cleaned, without bones
- 1 teaspoon fish spices
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
- 3 sprigs dill fresh
- salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
- Grease an oven dish with a bit of olive oil.olive oil
- Rinse the fish and pat dry with kitchen paper.1 trout
- Using a sharp knife, cut diagonal slits into the fish all the way to the bone.
- Sprinkle the inside of the fish with fish spices.1 teaspoon fish spices
- Fill the cavity with lemon slices, dill, and garlic.1 lemon, 3 cloves garlic, 3 sprigs dill fresh
- Insert extra slices of garlic into the slits on the sides.
- Sprinkle the fish on all sides with salt and pepper.salt and pepper
- Place the fish in the oven dish and bake for 25 minutes, until cooked.
Notes
- Roasted vegetables with zucchini, eggplant, and tomato.
- Oven-baked potatoes with thyme and garlic.
- A fresh salad with sun-dried tomatoes, strawberries, and honey-mustard dressing.
- Refrigerator: Store the fish covered in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
