A recipe for a summer salad in a jar with fresh strawberries, sweet dried tomatoes, lettuce, and honey mustard dressing. A delicious vegetarian salad for your picnic.
The creamy, slightly spicy, and sweet mustard dressing is a delicious combination with the fresh strawberries. By combining with a mixed salad, you get a crunchy bite. The summery, sun-dried tomatoes make the salad complete.
This vegetarian/vegan salad is built in layers in the jar. At the picnic, you gave each person his or her own jar and let them toss the salad just before eating. This way you get a wonderfully fresh salad.
- Just for the food is served you toss everything together. By building up the layers, whereas you put the wet ingredients at the bottom of the pot and the garnish up. This way, the lettuces will remain fresh.
- Keep the salad cool until used;
- If you want to add nuts don't add them to the jar, but store them in a separate container. They stay nice and crisp that way.
