A Watermelon Fruit Basket is a delicious, fresh side dish that suits any summer BBQ or picnic. The combination of sweet and juicy seasonal fruits brings summer to your plate.

Summer Salad for BBQ or Picnic
I love watermelon; it's so sweet and juicy. With the arrival of seedless watermelon, it has become an absolute summer favorite—and even easier to make.
For a BBQ or Picnic, I usually make a melon salad, sometimes just cut into cubes, but you can also present a fruit salad in a creative way, like here.
Juicy Watermelon with Fresh Summer Fruit
You hollow out the watermelon, and I mix juicy cherries (without stones), grapes, Galia melon, and watermelon in a bowl. Make sure you cut off a thin slice of the watermelon so that it is more stable on the table. You can make the salad a few hours in advance and store it in the refrigerator until use (because it tastes even better when it's cool).

Notes
- Vary with fruit: Strawberries, pineapple, peach, and kiwi go well with this salad.
- Herbs: Mint leaves are delicious with this, but also try lemon balm or basil, which are tasty with the fruit salad.
