The slightly sweet crispy fried churros with cinnamon are a delicious combination with fresh sweet strawberries with whipped cream. A dessert with an A+.
Today the soccer match Netherlands - Mexico will be played. A contest where we all look forward to and hopefully our boys play so well that we win. And as far as I'm concerned it does not have to so exciting like at the match Brazil against Chile with penalties. I like to see penalties ... when playing a match with two other countries.
But that aside. For today a delicious snack: churros which are often eaten in Mexico, combined with our own summer fruits. Delicious combination, easy to prepare and a light and airy dessert.
Tips:
You let the dough slightly cool down before adding the egg, else your egg cooks while adding to the batter.
You put a baking sheet under the churros that are piped so they do not stick and you can  slide them from the paper into the frying pan
Take new fat for frying the churros, otherwise they may taste like the previous fried product.
Preparation:
1 day before:
Make the churros one day in advance and store them in a paper bag until use.
