Pomegranate Prosecco Cocktail With Cinnamon
On busy holiday nights I want one drink that looks intentional but doesn't chain me to the bar. This cocktail became that one. Pomegranate seeds in the glass, a tiny whisper of cinnamon, cold prosecco on top, done. It looks elegant, tastes fresh, and you still recognize your bubbly.
It works for Christmas, New Year's Eve, brunch, a cheese board on Friday night, or that "we should toast this" moment. Guests who like it sweeter can fix their own glass. Kids and drivers get the same look with an alcohol-free version. One base, everyone happy.
What You'll Need
Exact amounts are in the recipe card below.

- Chilled prosecco: brut or extra dry for a fresh, not-too-sweet cocktail. A sweeter style only if your guests love it softer.
- Pomegranate seeds: juicy, bright, jewel-like; they bring color, texture, and gentle tartness.
- Cinnamon: a tiny pinch adds a warm winter note. Freshly grated from a cinnamon stick is ideal, or a very light dusting of ground cinnamon.
- Optional on the table: a small jug of pomegranate juice or simple syrup so sweet-lovers can tweak their own glass.
How to Make It
You'll find the full, step-by-step recipe card below.

- Step 1: Chill your prosecco and glasses.

- Step 2: Add pomegranate seeds to each glass.

- Step 3: Sprinkle a very small pinch of cinnamon over the seeds.

- Step 4: Slowly pour chilled prosecco on top, give a gentle swirl, and serve immediately.
Top Tips
- Big batch (per bottle): Build seeds + cinnamon in a chilled carafe, then add cold prosecco just before pouring.
- Alcohol-free: Use alcohol-free prosecco or sparkling white grape juice with the same seeds and micro pinch of cinnamon.
- Glasses: I like to serve these in champagne flutes or slim tumblers on a tray by the door, so guests get a glass as soon as they walk in.
- Serve: Set a little jug of pomegranate juice or simple syrup on the table and let sweet-lovers add a splash.
- How to get pomegranate seeds without a murder scene
- Cut the pomegranate in half.
- Hold it cut-side down over a bowl and tap firmly with a wooden spoon, or loosen the seeds under water.
- Skim off the white bits; keep the shiny seeds.
- Which prosecco to choose?
- Brut / extra dry: crisp, elegant, best match with tart pomegranate.
- Sweeter prosecco: for guests who love a softer, sweeter sip.
