Every so often, you want a plate of comfort food without too much effort. For those days, I grabbed my slow cooker. That way, you hardly have to worry about the food after a long day. This slow cooker chicken with garlic Parmesan sauce is the perfect dish: creamy, tasty, and easy to make. You prepare everything in the slow cooker; you only have to cook the pasta afterward. Ideal for a weekday meal!
What do you need?
- Chicken breast: Chicken thigh fillet is also an option if you like.
- Garlic Parmesan sauce: This creamy garlic Parmesan sauce recipe is easy to make yourself. It is ready in fifteen minutes and can also be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- Cream cheese: Makes the sauce extra creamy and rich.
- Fusilli: The twisted shape holds the sauce well for extra flavor.
Preparation
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Pour the Parmesan sauce over the chicken fillet and add the cream cheese. Mix everything well.
- Set the slow cooker to low and let everything cook for 6 hours.
- Cook the fusilli according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, pull the chicken apart with two forks and mix it through the sauce.

Instructions

Notes
- Refrigerator: Store the chicken with sauce and pasta in a sealed container in the fridge for two days. Because of the creamy sauce, freezing is less suitable; the sauce can then curdle.
