On warm summer days, I'm constantly looking for something fresh and fun. Not too heavy, but still special. That's how I found these Mojito Melon Skewers with mint. I saw the original idea on the Sis Boom Blog, and I just knew I had to try it. Juicy melon with fresh mint, lime, and a splash of rum? That screams summer to me!

Easy Mojito Melon Bites for BBQs or Garden Parties
I gave it my own twist, and now we serve them regularly at BBQs or garden parties. They're easy to make, super refreshing, and everyone loves them.
You can keep them alcohol-free or turn them into a grown-up treat. And the best part? The leftover marinade makes a great summer cocktail. That's what I call a double win!
Tips for the Best Melon Skewers with Mint and Lime
These melon skewers are tested in my kitchen (many times 😉 !) and they're always a hit. Here are my best tips:
- Use ripe, juicy melons for the best taste.
- Mix different types of melons for a more colorful look, such as Galia, cantaloupe, and watermelon.
- Use fresh mint. Dried mint just isn't the same.
- Don't skip the lime zest-it gives a fresh kick.
- Let the melon sit in the marinade for at least 1 hour. That way, the flavor soaks in.
- The leftover marinade? Use it as a base for a fresh drink.
