Enjoy Refreshing Yogurt Ice Cream with Chocolate and Fresh Strawberries
Ice cream is my guilty pleasure in the summer; you can wake me up for a good bowl of ice cream. Ice cream, popsicles, but what I'm more and more fan of lately is yogurt ice cream.
That creamy ice cream, with the fresh taste, is so delicious when it is warm. And after lime yogurt ice cream with raspberries and Greek yogurt ice cream with walnuts and honey (a tip as a delicious dessert), as a real chocoholic, I couldn't do without chocolate yogurt ice cream.
And this was so tasty. For extra flavor and a touch of summer, I mixed some strawberry jam into the chocolate (strawberries and chocolate are a top duo) and then froze everything. The result was a coupe with creamy chocolate frozen yogurt with a hint of strawberry and delicious fresh fruit. My whole coupe went up! And I think you'll like it just as much!
What do you need for Strawberry Chocolate Frozen Yogurt?
You require the following ingredients to prepare this Chocolate Frozen Yogurt with Strawberries. You can find the correct amounts in the recipe card at the bottom of the blog:
- Cream: Use heavy cream, which you can whip. It ensures that the ice cream becomes airy and creamy.
- Honey: For sweetening the yogurt ice cream.
- Salt: Balances the flavor of the ice cream.
- Greek yogurt: This creamy yogurt is nice and thick.
- Strawberry Jam: A sweet jam made from strawberries. You can also use raspberry or red currant jam.
- Chocolate sauce: Use ready-made chocolate sauce from the supermarket, or easily make it yourself. Bring ½ cup (125 ml) heavy cream to the boil and turn off the heat. Stir in 4 oz. (100 grams) of finely chopped dark chocolate.
- Strawberries: Use fresh strawberries. Look for beautiful red strawberries with fresh green leaves. The strawberries should be firm and smell sweet. Wash them and remove the crown (in this order. If you first remove the crown, the strawberry will absorb the washing water and become watery)
